HI, I'm Gina! My life has been a continual pursuit of healing and wellness through learning and self-development. A deep desire to better understand both myself and the world led me to discover healing through my relationship with God, along with writing and the expressive arts. These practices helped me overcome a difficult childhood and adolescence. I began my academic journey through a GED program as a single parent and found such profound transformation through learning that I went on to earn multiple degrees—an Associate of Arts, a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Arts, and a Doctorate in Writing.
As a college professor, I spent many years helping others discover their own paths to fulfillment, all while continuing to serve through writing and the expressive arts. Poetry and art have connected me with a vibrant community of creatives—people I love and admire, whether they are artists themselves or passionate supporters of the arts. Having once been involved in the performing arts, I was naturally drawn to the mental and physical healing found in restorative yoga. My journey led me to yoga seminars across the U.S., where I became certified to teach others how to access this restorative power.
Today, I find great joy in caring for others and myself through the many healing modalities I’ve embraced. This passion ultimately led me to the field of professional counseling, where I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling. I’ve also pursued training in a variety of integrative mental health therapies, using artistic expression, bibliotherapy, poetry, talk therapy, and mindfulness-based practices to support healing of the mind, body, and spirit. These approaches are not only tools I offer to clients but practices I actively engage in myself and deeply enjoy.
