Hi, I'm Jennifer. I’ve always believed that the best time to care for your mental and emotional well-being is right now, exactly where you are. Coming to therapy can feel intimidating, and it is completely normal to show up feeling a little guarded, skeptical, or unsure of what to expect. You don't need to have a perfect explanation for why you're here or a clear set of goals figured out on day one. My goal is to make our time together feel like a genuine, safe conversation rather than a clinical process you have to "do right."
My path into this field started on the acute rehabilitation floor of a hospital. Standing beside people during some of the most overwhelming, life-altering moments of their lives completely changed how I view healing. I saw firsthand that recovery doesn't just happen through medicine—it begins with the quiet decision to keep going, even when the weight feels too heavy to carry. That experience shapes how I sit with you today. I bring warmth, humor, and realness to my practice. I am not here to analyze or fix you; I am here to help you make sense of your experiences, unpack the things that are hard to say out loud, and spot patterns that might be keeping you stuck.
When I pull away from the therapy room, I focus on grounding myself in the things I love. I am usually chasing fresh air and open trails, hiking and camping in San Isabel National Park with my husband and watching our son explore the world through his camera lens. At home, I'm content relaxing with a Victorian-era movie, my family, and our two cats. I also have a soft spot for collecting sloths because I appreciate their famously relaxed pace of life.
If you are ready to catch your breath and explore what comes next at a pace that feels secure for you, please reach out. We will take it one single step at a time.
