Hi, I'm Megan!
I approach therapy with a client-centered philosophy, prioritizing a safe, compassionate, and collaborative environment. I believe in meeting each individual or group where they are, recognizing their unique strengths and challenges.
My treatment approaches are integrative and flexible, combining elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, and psychodynamic principles. I also utilize mindfulness and play therapy techniques for children to help them express emotions in a developmentally appropriate way.For adults, I emphasize self-awareness and coping strategies, working through any barriers to personal growth or relationship challenges. When working with families and couples, I focus on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering deeper emotional connections. I incorporate structured interventions to address systemic patterns and promote healthy dynamics.
What sets me apart in working with these diverse populations is my ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to the specific needs of the group. My skills in active listening, empathy, and building trust enable me to create a therapeutic relationship that facilitates openness and change. Whether it's guiding children through their emotional experiences or helping couples navigate complex relational issues, my approach is grounded in patience, understanding, and a deep respect for each person’s journey.
