About Rachel Orton

Hi, I'm Rachel!

Since starting my work in mental health and substance use treatment in 2019, I’ve supported kids, teens, adults, and families through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and substance use. I’ve also worked with individuals involved with CPS and those needing extra support with daily living skills. My approach is always non-judgmental, honest, and compassionate—because change happens when people feel safe, not shamed.

If your brain feels like it has 47 open tabs (hello ADHD), you'r ein good company. for hte past four years, I've specialized in working wiht clients navigating ADHD, and we've found that simple routines, realistic organization, and a gentle reminder system can make a huge difference. I'm patient, flexible, and yes, I will happily help you bild systems that actually work for real life, not Pinterest life.

Becoming a therapist was personal for me. I struggled with anxiety as a teen and didn’t have the words for it until a kind therapist helped me understand what was going on. That experience stuck with me, and now I try to offer my clients that same sense of relief and “oh wow, I’m not broken” moment.

Clients often describe me as relatable, reliable, communicative, and flexible. I’m human in session—I laugh with you, celebrate wins, and help you stay accountable to the goals you care about. And if you need help finding resources or next steps, I’ll go the extra mile (within reason… I still need snacks and sleep 😄).

Outside of therapy, I’m usually hanging with my husband and our dog, checking the birds at the feeder, planning our next travel adventure, or catching live music. I recently moved from DC to Denver to be closer to family, and I’m loving the shorter road trips and mountain views.

Starting therapy can feel scary—but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re looking for a therapist who’s empathetic, authentic, and maybe a little funny along the way, I’d love to connect.
