Rachel Orton
LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Monday and Friday 10am to 6pm

Hi, I'm Rachel,
Since beginning my work in mental health and substance use in 2019, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families across a wide range of communities, in both rural and urban areas. During this time, I’ve focused on providing individual and family therapy for children, teens, and adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. My priority is creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported, while also providing accountability that helps you reach your personal goals.
Becoming a therapist was a personal journey. I struggled with anxiety throughout my teens and did not understand what I was experiencing, until I met a compassionate therapist in college that educated me and helped me to develop the skills I needed during those difficult times. This experience inspired the way I practice today - I want my clients to feel that same sense of relief, safety, and potential that I felt while sitting with my therapist.
Outside of therapy sessions, you can usually find me spending time with my husband and our dog, checking to see which birds have stopped by the backyard feeder or are in nearby Washington Park, planning our next travel adventure, or jamming to some live music. I recently moved from DC to Denver to be closer to my family in South Dakota, and I’m looking forward to the opportunities this new home will bring (and the shorter road trips)! The first step of reaching out can be difficult, but you do not have to experience this alone.
If you’re looking for a therapist who brings empathy and authenticity,I would love to connect!"
