About Sydney Pallares

Hi, I’m Sydney!

I’m a therapist who believes therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or intimidating—it can be real, supportive, and even a little playful at times. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to show up as your full self, share your story, and explore what’s next for you.

I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating the ups and downs of life: anxiety, depression, insecure attachment patterns, relationship conflicts, and big life transitions. I also enjoy working with couples, as well as individuals exploring consensual or ethical nonmonogamy, and those healing after experiences in high-control groups or cults.

My approach combines warmth with curiosity. I draw from attachment theory, narrative therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand the story that’s shaped you—and empower you to rewrite it in ways that serve you better. I also integrate evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and Emotion-Focused Therapy to support lasting change.

Clients often describe me as casual, approachable, and honest. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation. I’m not afraid to share a bit about my own experiences if it helps us connect, and I’ll always challenge you gently when it feels helpful—while leaving space for you to tell me if something doesn’t fit.

When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me lifting weights at the gym, catching live music, snowboarding in the winter, or spending time with friends. Though I grew up in New York, Phoenix now feels like home (though I’ll always miss the bagels!).

If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with compassion, humor, and authenticity, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
